Nuora - Gut Ritual Capsules Cross-Sell | 3 Funnels, A/B Testing at 50% Traffic
0 of 30 steps completed
After a customer clicks "Pay Now" and their card is charged, BEFORE the thank-you page loads, they see a special offer page. They can add more stuff to their order with ONE click (no re-entering card info). Their card gets charged again automatically.
Upsell = selling more of the SAME thing or an upgrade (e.g., "buy 2 more gummy bottles").
Cross-sell = selling a DIFFERENT but related product (e.g., customer buys gummies, you offer capsules).
What you're doing is technically a cross-sell (gummy buyers get offered capsules), but in AfterSell the feature is just called "post-purchase upsell." Same thing, don't stress about the naming.
When someone clicks "No thanks" on the upsell offer, you show them a CHEAPER version of the same offer. Like: "Okay, how about $24.99 instead of $29.99?" It's the last chance offer before they hit the thank-you page.
The whole sequence a customer goes through: Upsell page → (decline?) → Downsell page → Thank you page. You're creating 3 different funnels with 3 different copy angles to see which one converts better.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Target customers | Only people who buy Gummies |
| Product offered | Gut Ritual Capsules (1 bottle, one-time) |
| Upsell price | $29.99 (retail $51) |
| Downsell price | $24.99 |
| Traffic split | 50% control (no upsell) / 50% test |
| Variants | 3 copy angles (~16.67% each) |
| # of funnels to create | 3 |
| Wait for decisions | 500 conversions per funnel |
| Funnel | Angle | Traffic |
|---|---|---|
| Funnel 1 | The Second Problem (Bloating/Gut Discovery) | ~16.67% |
| Funnel 2 | The Discovery (Brand Story) | ~16.67% |
| Funnel 3 | The Path (Mechanism/Education) | ~16.67% |
| Control | No upsell shown | 50% |
Angle: Bloating/Gut Discovery | Copy focuses on the gut-vagina axis problem
In the offer editor, you'll see fields for headline, body text, CTA button, and decline button. Paste these:
After setting up the upsell, you need to add a downsell step. This shows when someone clicks "No thanks" on the upsell.
Angle: Brand Story | Copy focuses on "why we created this product"
Repeat the same process as Funnel 1, but with different copy:
Angle: Mechanism/Education | Copy focuses on "how fast gummies work depends on your gut"
This is where you make sure only 50% of customers see upsells, split across 3 variants
AfterSell has a few ways to handle traffic splitting. Here are your options in order of preference:
If each funnel's trigger settings have a "Random Sample" option, set each funnel to show to 17% of qualifying customers. Three funnels at 17% = 51% total (close enough to 50%). The other 49% see nothing (control group).
If AfterSell has a "Smart Funnel" or global traffic allocation setting, set it to 50%. Then the 3 funnels will rotate among that 50%.
If neither option above is available, AfterSell shows funnels based on priority order. When multiple funnels match the same trigger, only the highest priority one shows. In this case, you might need to contact AfterSell support or use their built-in A/B test feature to split between the 3 variants.
If AfterSell lets you customize the confirmation/acceptance message, use this:
